
I’m puzzled why Solo’s has changed its name to “The Airplane Restaurant.” It would be interesting to find out why, after so many years as Solo’s.

• “Most people know it as the airplane restaurant anyway,” so the first week in December it became official, said Steve Kanatzar, who dreamed up the eatery inside a Boeing KC-97 tanker.
Kanatzar said there were a few minor changes here and there “but really, nothing much was changed.”
It was the perfect time to make routine changes to the menu, he said, so they added ahi tuna, New York steak, an Asian salad with yellowfin tuna and several new sandwiches. “Everything else is the same.”
